When it comes to paying tribute to music legends, at the top of our list has to be STEVIE WONDER!! On Friday, August 19, SPREAD LOVE brings you a tribute to one of the greatest music geniuses of our time. The tribute will be hosted by JAMAL AHMAD, a favorite at all our tributes, host of WCLK’s ‘S.O.U.L. of Jazz,” and a huge fan of Stevie’s. If you attended the DONNIE HATHAWAY tribute last year, then you know this is event will be amazing!!
We have enlisted friend and soul music hero DONNIE, the amazing JHELISA fresh from the UK, and rising stars MYKEL and CHANTAE CANN, along with special guests to pay homage to the great legend STEVIE WONDER. You can also expect a phenomenal pick of Atlanta’s extraordinary musicians lead by young funk-jazz lion DARRYL REEVES (Rod Harris, Kenton Bostick, Kenny Banks, Jr. and Joel Powell) to create the unforgettable vibe. And as if it wasn’t already a brilliant line-up, of course DJ KEMIT will make us HOTTER THAN JULY with his un-matched STEVIE WONDER tribute set, spinning everything from rare Stevie grooves to housed-up interpretations of your favorite Steveland classics.
