FESTIVAL: Atlanta Caribbean Jerk Festival - Sept. 4th
Don't miss the 6th Annual Grace Atlanta Caribbean Jerk Festival and Family Fun Day on Sunday September 4, 2011 at Panthersville Stadium 2817 Clifton Springs Road in Decatur, GA. Gates open at noon. Live reggae and soca performances featuring national and international artists. Food vendors, craft vendors, Kids fun zone, game truck, domino and ludo tournament. Plus cook off competition to find Atlanta's Top Jerk Chef.
Following, are several highlights of this community event:
• The festival is marketed to attract the 200,000 plus Caribbean nationals and “friends of the Caribbean” who reside throughout Metropolitan Atlanta. It is estimated that this region is the fastest growing area for residents of Caribbean heritage who boast an average household income of $65,000, and combined buying power of $30 billion throughout the Southeast – a distinctively diverse market ripe for growth, and investments!
• The event is perfect for product and/or service introductions, sampling, marketing and promotions.
• The event will feature several vendors providing food, crafts and other goods and services to the Metro-Atlanta community.
• The event will feature live reggae and calypso bands, a playground for the children, plus a games tent for domino aficionados.
• The festival will present competitive “jerk” grilling contests to determine who has Atlanta's Top Jerk Chef.
• Similar events staged in Jamaica and throughout North America have proven to be successful.
